MEGAN RITCHIE
Here’s the quick and dirty: I’m a fiction writer with publications in places like Pinch, Denver Quarterly, and The Missouri Review. I love dry lightning, peanut butter cups, and the mariachi band that plays across from my apartment each Sunday. I hate honking, slow walkers, and when people get on the elevator before I get off.
Oh, and: I got my MFA at the University of Miami, where I now teach writing. I’m currently at work on my first novel.

here’s me in San Francisco!
Short stories
“Mad Dogs & Scotsmen,” The Missouri Review (forthcoming) — greyhound races in ’70s Scotland
“Trust Exercise,” The Pinch — Little Havana, The Masked Singer, and biology
“Sunstroke,” Denver Quarterly — a bad sunburn and a worse boyfriend
“The Fringe,” Southern Indiana Review — wherever you go, there you are
“Borrowed,” Nashville Review — we’ve all had a sublet go awry, right?
“Good Actors,” Coolest American Stories 2022 — I recommend putting on “Pink Pony Club”
“Misdirections,” HAD — the perils of city living
